Mysore Vasudevachariar (1865-1961) was a renowed vocalist of the Carnatic music who has composed nearly 200 kritis in Sanskrit and Telugu. He received his early training in music from Veena Padmanabhayya and Pattanam Subramanya Iyer. He composed the music for the Ramayana ballets choreographed by Rukmini Devi Arundale in the Kalakshetra.
