Nirad C.Chaudhuri Nirad C.Chaudhuri (1897-1999) was a highly renowned author, who became internationally famous with his autobiography The Autobiography of an Unknown Indian. He wrote the second installment of his autobiography Thy Hand, Great Anarch, while he was in his 90th year. In his second book A Passage to England, he displays his unflinching loyalty to the imperial England and his disdain for democracy. His other important works include The Continent of Circe, To Live or Not to Live, Clive of India, Scholar Extraordinary and Three Horsemen of the New Apocalypse. He died in Oxford on August 1, 1999 at the ripe age of 101.
